EFT / Tapping

EFT  (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Tapping is an evidence based, fast and easy process that gives relief from a broad range of difficulties from emotional issues to physical pain and trauma. It's been described as one of the most important breakthroughs in the area of psychology in this century. 

EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years.

 

How does it work?

​Instead of using needles, we tap with fingertips on specific meridians on the head and chest while thinking about our specific problem - whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc.- and voice how we feel about it, then moving to positive affirmations. 

Simply put, the tapping of the specific meridian points gives the nervous system the signal to relax and gives the body the chance to heal.

In a fight-or-flight mode physical healing cannot take place but with tapping we can quickly reduce our body's stress response, and feel better instantly. Tapping is one of those things you just have to try out to believe it works! It almost sounds too easy but it is highly effective.

 

What are the benefits?

The great thing about Tapping is that you can do it anytime anywhere to get instant relief. It's a very easy technique to apply when and where you need it to deal with fears, overwhelm, emotional stresses / triggers and physical pain. It can help us deal with challenging situations in life from relationship issues to fear of public speaking or flying, as well as offer significant relief from chronic pain and a number of health problems.  

It is proven in numerous clinical studies to calm down the nervous system and significantly reduce the body's stress-response to such a great extent and so quickly that researchers suspected the data findings to be a mistake!

​​Tapping is being used by psychologists and other therapists around the world with successes on problems such as phobias and post-traumatic stress.
